Take advantage of our horsemanship camps where you will have the opportunity to ride daily and have a horse of your own to care. As well as improving your riding skills, learn about general horse care, horse safety, riding theory amongst other equestrian related topics. Equitation Elysee is proud to offer horsemanship camps for adults! Treat yourself to an indepth look at the horse world! Learn basic horse care, how to go about buying a horse, riding theory and have the opportunity to perfect your riding skills. You will even participate in a musical ride. The camps are run on a weekly basis, ½ or full days. We accept a limited number of full day students.
Looking for something to do for Spring Break 2007? Why not spend your free time doing your favourite thing? Riding! For the 2007 summer season, Equitation Elysee is offering a Horsemanship Course for all ages. Registration forms will be available in the spring. Course Descriptions (Spring & Summer Camps) Depending on level of experience, theoretical lessons will include: • basic horse care • how to groom and tack up • riding theory • safety rules • basic equipment care • show preparation • conformation • common diseases and ailments • horse psychology And practical riding lessons will cover: • basic seat and aids • school figures • control at all paces (walk, trot, canter) • work over cavaletti and jumps • learning to ride a dressage test and hunter course Dress: • Shirt, breeches, riding boots and helmet. Shoes/boots with a low heel and slacks or jogging pants are permissible. |
